At Peoples Craft World, we present a blend of environment friendly paper made from sustainable resources. We make paper from bark of Daphne Bush and ensure that not a single tree is destroyed as a result of bringing the paper to you.

These handmade paper and paper products are made according to traditional methods from the bark of the Daphne bush locally known as LOKTA. This raw material is found in the hilly region from 3,000 feet to 10,500 feet. We believe that after cutting this Daphne bush, many new branches can easily sprout out from same roots which will be ready for next cut after 4-5 years. It grows in the shade of big plants in the forest of hilly region.

We also believe that community and its' traditions are the pillars of mankind. In this hectic world that we live in, much of our heritage is lost with the increasing push towards automation and computerization. Human interaction is also becoming more restricted. The result of this degenerates societies to an unhealthy alienated disposition.

People's Craft world believes that not only we preserve nature, we must also try to conserve each community's heritage, and at the same time, promote communal interaction. Thus, all of our items are hand-made using traditional methods which has been handed down through generations from time immemorial. Traditional modes of production increases number of employment specially in underdeveloped countries like Nepal and it facilitates communal interaction between groups of producers.

Lastly, whenever possible, the products are also made by training the street people and people with disabilities. As a result, each item from peoples craft world. represents not only the rich cultural heritage of community producers but also our social agenda.
